Calvert Accepted into the TAAC

Calvert has been accepted into the Toledo Area Athletic Conference. The TAAC voted earlier today to accept Calvert as their ninth conference member. The TAAC is composed of Cardinal Stritch, Danbury, Gibsonburg, Northwood, Ottawa Hills, Toledo Christian, Emmanuel Christian, Maumee Valley, Edon, and Hilltop. Edon and Hilltop are football only members, and Emmanuel Christian and Maumee Valley do not field football teams. Calvert joins the TAAC from the newly formed Sandusky River League which was composed of only four football schools and three non-football schools. Calvert will being conference play in all sports starting in the 2014-2015 school year. The TAAC comissioner has stated they are currently looking for a 10th football member.
