Notre Dame to play in the Pinstripe Bowl

It was announced on Sunday Notre Dame will play in the New Era Pinstripe Bowl for the 2013 football post season. The Pinstripe Bowl is played in New York City in the new Yankee's stadium. Notre Dame (8-4) will play Rutgers Scarlet Knights (6-6; 3-5 in AAC). Rutgers enter this game after beating South Florida to become bowl eligible. Notre Dame comes into this game after a loss to Stanford. The last meeting between ND and RU was in 2002 in a regular season match up. Notre Dame beat Rutgers 42-0. Notre Dame leads the series against the Knights 4-0. The game will be played on Saturday December 28, 2013 at 12:15pm. It can be seen nationally ESPN.
