Notre Dame will play Miami December 31, 2010 in the
Sun Bowl in El Paso Texas. The Irish and the Hurricanes finished the regular season with a 7-5 record. Notre Dame is coached by first year head coach Brian Kelly and Miami is coached by interim head coach Stoutland. Both of these teams are familiar with each other because they are rivals. Notre Dame leads the series against the hurricanes 15-7-1. The first meeting between the two schools was in 1955. Notre Dame is filling in for the PAC 10 because they did not fill all of their bowl games. The game will be televised on CBS at 2:00pm eastern time December 31, 2010. Information from UND.COM
